We recommend continuing with the premium food we’ve been feeding your puppy for at least the first few weeks to avoid digestive upset. Young German Shepherd puppies need moderate exercise—typically short play sessions several times daily rather than extended activity. As they grow, their exercise needs increase. By adulthood, German Shepherds require significant daily exercise including both physical activities and mental stimulation.

Basic training should begin immediately when you bring your puppy home. German Shepherds are highly intelligent and respond well to consistent, positive training methods.
